Type File Geodatabase Feature Class
This feature is a road centerline for Utqiaġvik (formerly known as Barrow.) It includes the names of each road and the distance of each road in the attribute table. Lars Nelson of Umiaq LLC. created the shapefile for a variety of purposes in March of 2011. Two raster images were used to generate this road centerline feature; Barrow.img, and Bing map imagery. The Barrow.img raster was acquired from the North Slope Borough by Umiaq LLC to use within the Umiaq LLC database for such purposes as this Road Centerline feature. The Bing map image was used as a second image layer to show the rest of Barrow's roads where the Barrow.img could not cover. Permission was granted to share and archive this information through the BAID development team under a cooperative agreement with the NSB GIS.
