Module 1 Overview
In Module 1, we set the context of Nunavut: Our Land, and the origins of Inuit traditional life ways and sources of heat and light as the original forms of energy since time immemorial. With the encroachment of the explorers, whalers and traders, Inuit have observed and been impacted by the modern energy distribution system that developed for settlements, housing, infrastructure and the energy distribution system, that exists today in Nunavut. To know the past is to understand the present, to envision the future.
