Meet Your Facilitator

Helen Roos

Helen is an Instructor for the CSW and Management Trainee program. She brings over 25 years direct experience in senior management roles with provincial and federal government.  She moved to Nunavut on June 1, 1999, assisting the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development with the establishment of the Nunavut Regional Office, and the implementation of the Nunavut Agreement. Given her academic focus in her Masters and Ph.D. studies in indigenous policy and land claims, she held a specialization on the appropriation of and forced relocations and government policy in Canada and the Commonwealth.  She ended her federal career as a A/Senior Land Claim negotiator on the final agreement on Ipperwash, which was her thesis in her Masters degree.
