The Climate Change Secretariat (CCS) develops programs, policies, and partnerships that assist Nunavut in adapting to and mitigating the projected impacts of climate change.

- Preparing Nunavut for the impacts of climate change.
- Leading inter-agency development of greenhouse gas mitigation strategies to reduce our reliance on imported diesel, the largest source of carbon emissions in Nunavut.

- Representing the GN’s voice in national and international climate change negotiations and policy-making, reflecting Nunavut’s priorities and issues.
